Responsibilities
The Public Information Officer (PIO) is responsible for relaying all public information from criminal acts, vehicle accidents, and other incidents relevant to the public to any and all news media.
Additional Roles
An important role is speaking on behalf of the Anderson Police Department on any topics requested by the media, as well as speaking at public engagements such as club meetings and schools on issues concerning the police department.
