The personnel are assigned to one of two shifts, which are A-Shift and B-Shift. Additionally, these shifts are further divided into AM and PM shifts. A lieutenant commands each shift and is responsible for the officers of that shift. Each shift also has sergeants assigned to them who assist the shift lieutenant in running the shift and assisting patrol officers.
